We Came Out Like Tigers from Liverpool, does it again with an even more passionate, angry, and sad release 'Ever-Crushed At Pecket's Well'. Releasing music that carries a message, the idea (fact) that music, especially Punk Rock, should speak of freedom. They're highly influenced by black metal but their dark lyrics with the occasional spoken word and passionate screams really puts them in the depth of the screamo/blackened screamo genre followed by a very post-rock violin feel. For fans of Sed Non Satiata, 49 Morphines, Beau Navire, Envy, Men As Trees/Locktender, etc. If being brutal and beautiful at the same time is possible, this band would have to be described that way with the black metal influence, leaving them brutal from how fast/heavy they can get with almost growls; bringing them back to their main roots, you feel their beautiful-passionate side in their emotions and through the screams and poetic based spoken word, backed up by fast drums, the melodic violin, and chanting. This is definitely the heaviest of everything they’ve released before but they remain true to their sound; they allow the emotion to control the music and how the person listening to the music feels. This album is the perfect follow-up after 'Agelessness And Lack', and definitely one of my favorite releases thus far in 2014. We Came Out Like Tigers is one of those "goto" bands when you are feeling a certain way, they take life, love, and the passion for people seriously, they come full force and with all emotions out. They target the people that deserve to be targeted and they believe music should bring people together, not divide them apart. I love this band.

"So things got worse and we got sad. We found disappointment at every turn: we sang songs about changing the world because we believed we could, we played this music because we thought punk rock was a scene that would never allow fascists, sexists, homophobes and their apologists to be tolerated, but such ideas seemed to be little more than a token mention whilst people awkwardly tuned instruments. We thought that heavy music was played by people with heavy opinions, heavy souls who wanted to have heavy late night conversations. We thought people valued originality and integrity over petty attempts at fame and recognition. We thought our little band releasing a little record could contribute to the resistance, could keep the flame alive. We must be naive or stupid or both, because here we are with another record, because we refuse to give up. We refuse to believe that smashing Nazi's means anything less than just that, we refuse to believe that we need a 'manager', we refuse to believe that you have to fawn over pornographers to get your shitty video premièred to get you on that next "rad" tour. And if punk rock never stood for freedom in the first place then fuck it, lets use a new word and carry on the only way we feel comfortable, and lets make this scene a safe place for those that are well intentioned, and a dangerous place for those who aren't. We have recorded five of the angriest, saddest songs we have ever written."
