Departures is a five piece band from Glasgow, United Kingdom who formed in 2009. Departures play a great style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, emo, and indie rock within their sound. Teenage Haze is the band's second full length LP, which was released on November 27th, 2012. This album features nine new songs of post hardcore/emo/and indie rock that'll definitely appeal to fans of bands such as Balance And Composure, Title Fight, Make Do And Mend, as well as more post hardcore oriented bands such as Pianos Become The Teeth and La Dispute. As far as Departures is concerned, they fall somewhere in between these two genres of music. With that said, Departures have a sound all their own and these nine songs are melodic, sincere, and downright amazing. After hearing Teenage Haze, I'm going to be checking out the band's two earlier releases as well. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
